COVID-19 Safety

Today, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our staff and patients. With this in mind, we are happy to share steps we are taking to make your visit to Goodness Dental as safe as possible. These protocols are in additional to our normal standards of care that meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.

Our goal is to add peace-of-mind to the dental care and excellence you have come to expect from Goodness Dental.

COVID-19 Travel Requirements Effective October 1, 2020

These are some requirements when entering Costa Rica that you need to be aware of:

For international insurance policies, tourists must request a certification from their insurance company, issued in English or Spanish, verifying at least the following three conditions. (This certification must be uploaded when filling out the electronic epidemiological HEALTH PASS):

  • Effectiveness of the policy during the visit to Costa Rica.
  • Guaranteed coverage of medical expenses in the event of becoming ill with the pandemic COVID-19 virus while in Costa Rica, for at least USD $50,000 (fifty thousand United States Dollars).
  • Includes minimum coverage of USD $2,000 for lodging expenses issued as a result of the pandemic.

Passengers who fail to comply with these requirements may not enter the country.

Upon landing in Costa Rican territory, travelers must wear face protection and comply with the strict protocols of the air terminal with regard to physical distancing, disinfection of carpets, and taking temperature readings, and must follow any other sanitary instructions.

Tourists from authorized states may enter the country even if their route includes a stop at a destination that is not authorized, as long as they do not leave the transit airport.

What if I have a fever? 😷What to do when you arrive at the Goodness Dental clinic with a fever

We take your temperature every time you come to the clinic. If we take your temperature and it is high, we inform you immediately and you will have to wait outside the clinic for 20 minutes before we re-take the temperature.

If your temperature doesn't come down, we will ask you to get tested for Covid-19. We can assist you with setting an appointment and walking you through the process. This will delay your dental treatment for 2 business days (it generally takes 24 hours to get the results) if you test negative for Covid-19.

If you test positive for Covid-19, you have to quarantine for 14 days. This would affect your treatment time and you will need to adjust your return schedule.
